Viola saw the cardiologist, and her surgen this week. At her appointment with the cardiologist she weighed 10lbs 12oz. she is getting so big!! Anyway the hole in her heart is closing up, i guess the louder it sounds the smaller it is. She goes back in Feb. to get it cheacked again, but it looks like her heart is going to fix itself, im so happy it wasnt serious and they dont have to operate, praise the Lord, i dont think i could keep it together very well if she had to have anouther surgery. Speaking of surgerys, the one she did have is healing up wonderfully, her incition looks good, its all healed, and she doesnt have to go to any more follow ups! Viola is doing very good, im so happy!!!

On a different note, we are all excited for Erica, Jon, Katie, Leah, and Sophie to come down for christmas!!! It has been a while since ive seen the girls, and im excited for Katie and the girls to meet Viola! :)

Viola had her first tea party yesterday! we were invited to Nancy's house (pastors wife) for tea games and stories, it was an angel theme, with a really good lavander tea, among others. Viola was adored by everyone there, passed around a bit (poor thing) and was obilivious to nearly the whole afternoon festivities. she may not remember the day, and wasnt awake to enjoy it...but was enjoyed by everyone that attended. she is just so precious, i still cant believe shes mine :)

My good friend Erik, at the Ronald McDonald house.
Viola after surgery (kinda scary looking).
Me...and my beautiful sleeping baby at the hospital.

Sleeping soundly (which she does a lot) after her first pediatrician appointment. She weighed 9 pounds 9 ounces, and was 22 1/2 inches long. She's getting soo big, its hard to believe a little over a month ago she was inside of me still. Her doctor said shes looking good, and that everything is fine. She checked out Violas' incision, its still healing, but isn't infected! sounds like she will heal up nicely. I'm so happy that not only is she home, but she's so healthy and is doing so well!

She also went for a follow up appointment with the surgeon, and she wants Viola to come back on the 18th just to make sure her incision is healed up. there are so many appointments for her, and shes soo young, its amazing... she has to go see the cardiologist on the 16th, so hopefully that's good news also. Then in January poor thing goes in for her shots...i think that might be hard for me, i know that she needs them but i don't like getting shots, and i don't like hearing her cry (i worry) and i know she wont be very happy that day...i might cry with her.

Had to put Viola's cute little feet on here, just for Erica!!!

Also this is the only time that she will fit into those cute shoes :)

Love the little double chin and the lips all pursed! :)

Viola all dressed up for her first Thanksgiving.

Her cute face is a bit blurred...she's bobbing and weaving!

This was taken at the Fallon hospital when she was only day old.
So pretty with her little pink bow!

There are a few pictures of Viola, i have many more that will be posted later on. I also have a camera that the transfer team from St. Mary's gave me that has pictures from her transfer and the stay at St. Mary's through all stages of recovery. I havent developed those yet, but when i do ill put them up, some of them are kinda scary, but she came out of it all just fine! For now here is the latest picture of Viola and me at home (finally)!!
When i was looking through the pictures on my camara i realized i didnt get any of Jon or Erica with or around Viola when they came to see her for her surgery :( thank you both so much, it meant a lot to me to have you there and your love and support really helped me get through the scariest thing ive ever gone through! I dont know what i would do without my loving family, and im so happy that this is the family that Viola is coming into!!! I love you all <3

Grandpa and Grandma with Viola. i couldnt have done this without them! they were there for us the whole time! bringing me food, helping me care for Viola, and everything inbetween. Im so thankfull to have their support!!

Jacquelyn (proud godmother) holding sweet Viola. She stayed with me the whole time i was in the hospital, helping change the first diapers, and was there for support! im really glad she was able to take time off work to be there!!
Granddad in the nursery with Viola within the first hour of her birth. She looks so big!

Drying off after Viola's first bath, given by grandma.

Im starting this blog for all my family (who has been great, and i wouldnt have got through the pregnancy without u) so they can see my Viola Sunshine grow up, and know whats going on in our lives. She was born on November 5th 2009 at 7:56 am, weighing 8 lbs 8oz and 20 1/2 in long.
She was born with a birth defect, tracheal-esophageal fistula, which basically means that everytime she ate food got into her lungs. So she had to have surgery. Shes doing fine now, had to stay at St.Mary's for 2 weeks recovering, and is home now doing great!
